Gianni Barlacchi is a Senior Machine Learning Scientist at Amazon AGI, where his research focuses on Information Retrieval and Natural Language Processing, with the goal of developing models capable of answering complex questions. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Trento, where he worked on leveraging textual and geolocated data to interpret and model the principles of human mobility. He is passionate about science communication, aiming to foster an informed dialogue between science, technology, and society.
